The System 6200e is Atlantic Technology's second highest-priced system, but it's a top-of-the-line system by anyone else's standards. The 6200e LR's have an unbeatable combination of smooth, accurate sound, sophisticated style, and unmatched value in a high-end system. The 6200e LR features the following rear mounted acoustic optimization controls

• A 3-position High Frequency Energy switch (changes the tilt of the tweeters response, not simply how loudly the tweeter plays). This allows much improved matching of the speaker's response to different room environments. Whether you have an acoustically live (highly reflective) or dead (highly absorptive) room, you can correct for varying acoustics.
• A Location Selector switch shelves up both the upper midrange and the high frequency output to compensate for being located behind a perforated screen or theater curtains, providing unrestricted detail at the listening position.
• A Boundary Compensation control adjusts for placing the speakers in custom cabinets or directly adjacent to a TV, delivering open and natural sound.

These ultra-high performance satellites can be combined with sand-fillable pedestals to create an impressive floor standing speaker. Or, the satellites can be used alone, installed in custom cabinetry behind an acoustically-transparent panel. The 6200e LR's can be used in any multi-channel configuration. For 7.1 systems, we recommend another set of LR's for the back channels with an additional 642e SB subwoofer.

The cabinet's side panels are finished in a lustrous Satin Black painted finish.

Taking center stage, the 6200e C delivers dialogue, music, and special effects with such accuracy you will hear every nuance no matter what the source. Employing the exact same driver set as the 6200e LR's, sounds move seamlessly across the front channels. Incorporating the trademark Atlantic rotator base combined with compensation controls for any placement and room acoustics, the 6200e C provides the ultimate in flexibility and performance for today's high-end installations.

The 6200e C features the same rear mounted acoustic optimization controls as the 6200e LR Left and Right Front Speakers. Like the 6200e LR, the 6200e C's side panels are finished in a beautiful Satin Black paint.

The Model 4200 SR Dipole/Bipole Surround Speakers are purpose built for use in multi-channel audio/video sound systems as dedicated side or back surround channel speakers. The 4200 SR enclosure has two 4.5" (115mm) GLH woofers and two identical high performance silk dome tweeters as found in the 4200 LR front speakers. To further showcase the 4200 SR's flexibility, the 4200 SR can be easily switched between Dipole and Bipole operation.

Due to the switch-able Dipole/Bipole design, it's possible to place the 4200 SR almost anywhere within the rear third of the room and achieve good results. However, the best location for surround speakers is generally straight out to the sides, or slightly behind the primary listening area, approximately 1-2 feet above seated ear level, but no closer than 2 feet from the ceiling. As noted above, the surround speakers (as opposed to the back speaker(s) in a 5.1, 6.1 or 7.1 channel system, are primarily intended to re-create the ambient sounds taking place in the movie scene. Therefore, throughout most of a movie or TV program you may not be consciously aware of output from these speakers. In other words, don't worry if you aren't hearing the surround speakers. The 4200 SR's come specially marked LEFT and RIGHT, so be sure the Left side surround speaker is placed directly to the left of the prime listening area (facing the screen) and the Right speaker is directly to the right side.

For smooth cosmetic integration, the 4200 SR is available in Black, and features integral key hole mounting.

The 8200e SR are a configurable Dipole (diffuse) Bipole, (semi-diffuse) design featuring dual 5.25-inch woofers (using all the advanced features of the front speakers) and the identical fabric 1-inch dome tweeters as the front satellites. They are finished in a beautiful Satin Black lacquer paint. Optional pedestal stands are also available. For added convenience, the surround speakers can be hung on the wall with the supplied integrated keyhole bracket.

The Atlantic Technology 642e SB THX Select powered subwoofer is a significant upgrade from its highly acclaimed predecessor. Compared to the original 642, we have developed a totally new driver with three times the motor size, a stiffer spider, and a heavier cone. It's a real "monster" of a driver. While the driver's free-air resonance remains at 25 Hz, the output of the sub from 35 Hz to 60 Hz-right in the impact range- has been improved by almost 3dB.

We have modified the equalization (because of the new driver's improved low-frequency output, less amp power is needed for EQ, and consequently more power is available for SPL), limiting and soft clipping parameters of the amplifier to optimize its performance. The result of these changes is a perceived 50-watt increase. In other words, the amplifier plays louder than before, with less distortion at its limits. The 642e SB features a sealed enclosure design for low distortion and smoother bass output. Sealed enclosure woofer designs are inherently low in distortion, and deliver deep smooth bass response with a gradual and predictable roll-off below resonance. As with all Atlantic Technology subwoofers, close attention has been paid to providing accurate musical bass reproduction along with terrific special effects. Atlantic's proprietary Clear Filter Technology ensures that the bass is detailed and accurate.

Powered by a high-efficiency 350 watt amplifier, the 642e SB utilizes the latest in amplifier technology, with an output stage capable of extremely high current delivery and maximum efficiency for exceptional driver control and cool thermal operation. As a custom-designed amplifier, it has been precision matched and equalized to the new 12" driver.

With a useful in-room frequency response of 20Hz to 150Hz, the 642e SB subwoofer is designed to deliver its rated performance under actual listening conditions, when properly placed and adjusted. Additionally, an adjustable (40Hz to 140Hz) 18dB per octave Low Pass crossover with steep upper end roll-off allows for much better bass integration with your main speakers.
