Designed for anamorphic projection, the Stewart CineCurve is a fixed curve screen with a unique feature: vertical side panels on the left and right edges can be adjusted in or out to create a screen with a 2.40:1, 2.35:1 (Cinemascope), 4:3 (Standard) or 16.9 (widescreen) viewing area. This flexibility makes the CineCurve the ultimate in curved projection screens, and it provides a flawless cinematic experience no matter what ratio your movie, game or show is originally presented in.
The screen's vertical height is consistent, while two electronically-controlled black mask panels move in from
the left and right. The screen itself can be made with any of Stewart’s award-winning projection
screen materials. The CineCurve's exclusive snap fastener screen tension system ensures a flawlessly smooth screen for a perfect image. The Stewart VeLux™ finish of the edges further improves quality by absorbing excess projection or "over-scan" and adding to visual contrast.
The primary difference between the CineCurve and Cine-W are that the masking of the CineCurve comes in from the side, like closing curtains, whereas the masking of the Cine-W drops down from the top of the screen, like closing blinds. Also, the CineCurve features an IR remote, whereas the Cine-W uses 12v control triggers.
