Overview
The IC-6 SLM is a two-way shallow depth ceiling speaker, that’s a high quality multi-purpose solution for whole-house music or surround sound installations where a stealth appearance is desired. Optional brackets for new construction and paintable square grilles to match aesthetics of square down lights add to its installation flexibility. With its terrific sound quality, discreet small bezel, magnetic paintable steel grille and shallow mounting depth, there is no excuse for having great music and special effects anywhere you want.
This high-performance compact speaker features a 6 ½ inch mica/polypropylene woofer with a rubber surround, a 1-inch voice coil and a vented pole piece delivering a smooth response down to 50 Hz. The wide-dispersion 1-inch silk dome tweeter pivots 30°in any direction and is Ferro-fluid cooled with a neodymium magnet with a frequency response out to 22 kHz. The drivers work with a computer designed 12 dB/octave crossover featuring polypropylene capacitors and a tweeter protection circuit. The high efficiency 6 ohm system has a sensitivity of 92 dB and can handle amplification from 10 to 100 watts.
