When you desire a straightforward, simplified system featuring two possible image areas, Stewart's WallMask VM with vertical masking is a great choice. A typical configuration is a native Scope screen that will mask down to HD when side masking panels effortlessly deploy. With vertical masking, image width is reduced while image height remains constant. Many projectors will send a 12V trigger signal for change of image formatting. This screen system features automatic control and will correctly change as prompted. This ingenious screen is able to resize its masking to create aspect ratios from HDTV 1.78:1 to super widescreen 2.35:1 Cinemascope formats.
The WallMask Vertical Masking screen utilizes electronically controlled vertical masking panels that descend from the screens framing system.
Your Variable-Masking Screen is custom made, using any of Stewart's remarkable front projection materials. Stewart's hidden snap-fastening system ensures a smooth, flat surface for the perfect image every time.
Microperf X² and Cinemaperf are available when acoustic transparency is required. Acoustically transparent masking panels are also available upon request.
Ordinary screens are a single size. When media of a different ratio than the screen is viewed, there are empty bars of projector space on the sides or top and bottom of the image. Variable masking solves this problem by giving you a screen that can adapt to multiple aspect ratios.
